Mulyavardhan was initiated by Mr Shantilal Muttha in 2009 in response to the frequently expressed need for value education in schools and the absence of a replicable and scalable programme to meet this need.
Over the years, Mulyavardhan has evolved through the following major stages:
- Design and implementation of a pilot project.
- Review of feedback from stakeholders and assessment studies by experts
- Study of Indian education policy documents, value education policies and practices across the world
- Consultations with national and international experts, including experts from NCERT.
